Andrzej Tarasiuk is a Polish-Canadian multidisciplinary artist living in Finland whose work explores the ecosystems, technology, culture, and the idea of progress. Drawing on artistic research, environmental thought, local histories, and material experimentation, he creates installations, sculptures, prints, paintings, and participatory projects that examine shifting relationships between human-made systems and nature. Mechanical Trees (MTs) is currently his central focus, a long-term body of work, a speculative device that simplifies complex ecosystem functions into technological mimics.
